Put[ting] on faith and love as a breastplate, and the hope of salvation as a helmet. (1 Thessalonians 5:8)

Are you facing some ongoing struggle? Are you disappointed by how things have turned out in your life? Have you suffered some injustice? Are you staring death in the face?

If so, then stop. Find strength here. Receive from the Lord the help you need to move forward.

  • Maybe you are enduring some pain. What is pain to a man or woman who will share a million, million ages of increasing joy in the presence of Christ?
  • Maybe you are facing some disappointment. Put on faith as a breastplate and love as a helmet. What is disappointment to a woman who will savor joy forever?
  • Maybe you have suffered an injustice. What is that to a man who has eternal life?
  • Maybe you are facing death (yours, or the death of a loved one). What is death to a man or woman who will be with the Lord forever?

Paul says, “Encourage each other with these words!”

When are you going to stop and find the encouragement you need? Don’t keep moving. Stop and ask the Lord for help. Let him minister to you now. Who else could you go to today and encourage with these words?
