Equipping Leaders for the Church
by focusing on…
14Do not neglect the gift you have… 15Practice these things, immerse yourself in them… 16Keep a close watch on yourself [life] and on the teaching [doctrine]. Persist in this [skills], for by so doing you will save both yourself and your hearers.
—1 Timothy 4:14-16
We prepare current and future leaders for a lifetime of fruitful and faithful gospel ministry through the local church with these training offerings:
The Unlocking the Bible Residency is a full-time, paid position intended for future preaching pastors, church planters, and cross-cultural missionaries. Residents are fully immersed in a local campus of The Orchard where they gain a breadth of experiences and depth of practice alongside seasoned ministry leaders while learning to establish healthy rhythms of life.
Weekly classes, largely taught by Pastor Colin Smith, provide practical applications for ministry realities, settle theological convictions and fuel a personal walk with the Lord in Word and prayer.

Momentum is a weekly class that meets on Friday mornings open to men and women with an affirmed call to vocational ministry. While Residents participate in Momentum, the audience is much broader and diverse allowing for encouraging networking opportunities.
The curriculum runs for 56 weeks over a two-year period and includes comprehensive modules that help cultivate a rich spiritual life of personal holiness, deepen understanding of biblical doctrine, and sharpen ministry skills for fruitful preaching/teaching, pastoring and church leadership.
Leverage is a weekly class that meets on Thursday evenings, largely serving the membership of The Orchard. It runs for 16 weeks in the fall and winter of each year for a total of four months. It is intended to refresh, equip and inspire current and future lay leaders to more intentionally invest themselves in local church ministry where they can leverage their gifts for God’s glory.
